I feel so honored to be writing this post about my first hosted workshop alongside my good friend Vic Bonvicini!
This has been a dream for the both of us for a long time and it finally came alive, fairly quickly I must say! One day I was like do you want to host a workshop? the next we were looking for a location, and talking to vendors, and looking for models, and then it was August 3rd, 2017! Wow! 24hrs in a day was literally not enough! haha. Also, Facetime calls was abundant during this whole planing process. Being that Vic lives in TN and I live here in Atlanta, we had to find an easier way to communicate and Facetime sessions became a must! 😉 We both have passions for sharing and educating so we made the perfect team! We knew we wanted the workshop to take place somewhere not too far out yet a place that we could incorporate all the cool ideas that we had been thinking up. We wanted all the local Atlanta wedding photographers to feel like this is a workshop for them! Finally a workshop that has a west coast feel but you don’t have to pay $2000 just to attend and then still fly out to California or Washington! Our inspiration was on bringing a little bit of the west coast vibes to the east coast, including all the cool boho dresses, vintage wicker chairs, 9x9ft tall macrame, Moroccan rug, mixed with tribal decor including in the cake and other tapestry, while also keeping the classic neutrals for the main table decor with the creams, off white, grays, and of course black candles were a must! <3 We had a turn out of about 40 photographers who learned so much and got to add some amazing images to their portfolio! They all gave us wonderful positive feedback on our first Reset to Rise and we hope to keep it going each year! Here are some images from Reset to Rise 2017.
