Boho Backyard Intimate Elopement in Georgia - Cassie + Jaz - Georgia Elopement Photographer

I had no idea what to expect when Cassie reached out to me letting me know they were doing an intimate celebration at her parent’s house in their backyard. She told me they had a pool and a fireplace in their backyard and that’s pretty much it. But when I arrived and saw the house where Cassie grew up in and walked in to her old bedroom where she collected her vintage furniture and with touches of soft pink colors on her bedspread, my eyes immediately saw her unique dress. A dress she created with pieces of her mother’s wedding dress. She hadn’t told her mom yet it was going to be a surprise for her mom, so you can imagine all the sneakiness we did to move the dress back and forth from one room to the next without letting her mom see it. Her bridesmaids helped coordinate all of it so we could surprise her mom. Still one of my favorite ‘dress reveals’ at a wedding so far! She revealed her dress to her mom first then to her dad and it was such an emotional moment for all of them!

She had a wreath for her cute Pomeranian puppy that was soo photogenic I just wanted to photograph him the whole time! Her backyard was boho inspired with moroccan rugs laid out for the entrances walk, dried pompas grass and macrame plant hangers on the trees. They also had a macrame swing in the backyard which we used for some cute photos.

During the ceremony the neighbors begin to use a chainsaw which was of course very noisy and interrupted the vows but we yelled out for them to give us 5 mins. and they totally obliged and we continued the ceremony. Both bride and groom read their vows to each other and everyone present shed a tear because it was the sweetest. After the ceremony we took photos around the backyard and ended the celebration with cake and champagne!

This was the sweetest intimate elopement with so many special touches, literally everything had a thought behind it and so many surprises and emotions throughout the day. I’m so happy to have been a part of this day and able to capture this special moment for this family to last a lifetime.!
